PART 1 -Theories and principles in interpreting and translation

The Part 1 programme is 14 days over 7 weekends.
The course is taught by a range of highly skilled and experienced interpreters delivered through a variety of taught sessions, group discussions and individual work. The programme includes self-study and a series of written assignments which will be marked as part of the qualification requirement. Upon successful completion of the written work candidates will be able to sit the Signature external written assessment. After successfully completing this assessment candidates will then be eligible to join a Part 2 programme to have their skills and practice assessed and gain their full qualification.

Entry level for this course is Level 6 BSL or equivalent and above.
